Import Export Code (IEC)

IEC is one of basic registration by which a person can import or export its product or services and explore it’s business beyond the indian boundary in case of export. Government of india is giving various incentives for export of products and services and also motivating factor to boost the exports.
IEC is issued by Director General of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce, Government of India and which contains 10 character which is pancard based of the person or entity. An IEC number issued to applicant shall be valid for all its divisions/ units/ factories/ branches. IEC is valid for lifetime and there is no need to renew the same. For doing any Imports or Exports, IEC (Import Export Code) is a mandatory document and you can avail export benefit schemes like SEIS or MEIS.
